San Salvador, El Salvador - Children look out at a world of peace

Geneva, Switzerland - An intervention in favor of "humanitarian corridors"

Fr. Marco Gnavi, of the Community of Sant'Egidio, presented in Geneva, at the summit between the United Nations and the World Council of Churches, the project #safepassage for the creation of humanitarian corridors for refugees, a project supported jointly by Sant'Egidio and the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy, an example of solidarity, ecumenism, common sense, a way to ensure that today will not be repeated the mistakes or the horrors of the past.

Catania, Italy - Heat of friendship ... and of blankets

In these very cold days in the northern hemisphere the Sant'Egidio is mobilized everywhere to support with blankets, hot drinks, whatever, those who are homeless, those without a shelter. 

In Catania,Sicily, and elsewhere, the Community has launched appeals for extraordinary collection of blankets and to report any situation at risk to the social assistance agencies.

Goma, Dem. Rep. of Congo - Presentation of the book on Floribert Bwana Chui

In the very same town, Goma, North Kivu, where he was born and grew up, in the city where he gave his testimony of integrity and gratuitousness refusing to be bribed, despite the threats, for allowing the passage of food dangerous for people's health, it has been presented the book "Un chrétien face à la corruption", "A christian defying corruption", on the life and death of Floribert Bwana Chui, a member of Sant'Egidio.

Jakarta, Indonesia - A house of friendship with the poor ...

Today, at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, has been inaugurated a course in "Advanced Training for European Mediators for intercultural and social unity".

Medan, Indonesia - Visit to the Rohingya refugees

Rome, Italy - Last days for the exhibition of the Art Workshops of Sant'Egidio disabled friends

Last days (until Sunday 17) to visit at the MAXXI (Museum of XXI Century Arts) in Rome the exhibition of César Meneghetti, I\O_ IO IS ANOTHER, a project promoted by the Sant'Egidio Community and the Art Workshops of the Movement of the "Friends". 

This work has involved more than 200 people with mental disabilities who live in the Italian capital city. In the works of Meneghetti disabled people the artist met are as people, fully capable of producing thought, spaces and visions; people who know, remember, evaluate, operate, love, create.
