Remembering Baba Gbako, who died 103, who lived in the Lepers Colony in Minna, and who was for a long time (more than ten years) a friend and member of Sant'Egidio, not missing any Christmas lunch. 

His long life has been a blessing, despite his illness; his sense of humor accompanied all the meetings with his younger friends.

Sometimes exchanging some words with the "invisible men" who live on the street, not too far from us, is worth more than delivering a sandwich. It is a border that is crossed, it is a wall that collapses, it is the encounter of men, different ones, but not so much.

Again - like yesterday - a picture of the encounter between youngsters and elderly in an institution: after all, when the guests of a retirement house start calling those visiting them, their "young angels", well, they all deserve a post!

After celebrating Christmas on December 25th together with many poor friends, Warsaw community organized a new lunch on January 7th, for the Orthodox Christmas, with those who work in Poland and are citizens from Ukraine or Russia.

"Kamiano" soup kitchen goes on wheels.

Twice a week we go around the city, to reach the homeless people in Antwerp. 

Hot soup and sandwiches; and then friendship and human warmth. To overcome the cold of the current season and the loneliness that becomes more bitter on holidays.
