Lagos, Nigeria - Healing the wounds of a thousand kids ...

The Community of Sant'Egidio and the outskirts.
Makoko, sometimes called the Venice of Africa, is a slum in the outskirts of Lagos, made up of shacks and piles, where live about 100,000 inhabitants.

It's there that the Community of Sant'Egidio, in cooperation with an association of pediatricians, has chosen to be close to a thousand children, providing free medical consultations, distributing food, clothes, shoes, medicine, school supplies.
